CFA SUPPORTS GOVERNOR NEWSOM’S CALL FOR SAFETY

The California Fitness Alliance strongly supports Governor Gavin Newsom’s efforts to protect public safety and calls on all fitness providers to join with the Alliance to  practice appropriate social distancing and hygienic practices. Specifically, the 4-W plan to protect and prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  1. Wear a mask

  2. Work out 6 feet apart

  3. Wash your hands

  4. Wipe down equipment

Access to fitness is critical to people’s physical and mental health and it is also critical to minimizing the impact of COVID-19. To be accountable, we urge all fitness providers to self-certify these protocols to county health officials.

Fitness is essential to beating the surge and California Fitness Alliance is committed to beating the surge and helping California stay healthy. We appreciate the Governor’s leadership at this critical time.

Fitness club owners are frustrated that state reopening rules and dates are not yet firmed up.
